International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality.

On International Women’s Day (IWD), thousands of women around the world gather in Sister Circles to participate in a global event to bring forth the next level of feminine freedom in our world. Now is our time to unite. Together, we will heal the wounds of the past, step into emotional freedom, and live in our full power. Women will gather together locally to empower each other and unify globally for a synchronized meditation.

Here at Kinstone we kick off our new year of New Moon Women Circle meetings on this day! See more about our monthly gatherings at the bottom of this page.

Please join us for this, our first Kinstone Women’s Circle gathering of 2020. We will celebrate International Women’s Day with a short heart meditation, sharing of personal stories, and a simple meal. We each have a time to be seen and heard in a safe and nurturing space. What’s going on in your world? Come connect with us! All women are invited, especially women who are desiring to create supportive relationships with other women, women who are feeling overwhelmed or stressed and are looking for some rejuvenation, and women who are looking for ways to find and express the Sacred in their daily lives.
“Connection is the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard and valued… When they can give and receive without judgment; and when they can derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” ~Brené Brown

IWD Theme: #EachforEqual: An equal world is an enabled world

The THEME for International Women’s Day 2020 campaign theme is #EachforEqual: An equal world is an enabled world. This theme puts the focus for 2020 on improving gender equality.

We will discuss this theme and share our thoughts on empowering women in our world. Here are some questions for contemplation / inspiration for sharing:
  • What thoughts or beliefs about yourself keep you from feeling free?
  • What would our world be like if the feminine essence was honored and revered?
  • What is your personal role in creating a healthier and more balanced world?
  • What are you committed to transforming in order for you to live your purpose and passion freely, receive greater love, and support other women in doing the same?
  • What have you been taught about equality of genders; how do you feel about the word “equal”?
  • Create your own question.
IMPORTANT: Come prepared to share! Feel free to share what is on your heart, something you have written or bring a short poem, quote, or story that speaks to you – this may be relevant to the theme for the month or could be anything that you find inspirational or that highlights the unique strengths of women.

There is no need to register. Just show up. However, if you want to share in the meal, please let us know by sending a message to us [email protected]! If you wish to participate in the meal bring a $5/person donation. Thank you.

READ BELOW FOR GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE 2020 Monthly KINSTONE NEW MOON WOMEN’S CIRCLE Meetings

Women have been gathering in a healing, sharing sister circle at Kinstone on the New Moon since March 2016 when the first International Women’s Day was launched. We average about 20 women at our circles. Sometimes less, sometimes more. We’ve had as few as 3 and as many as 42 show up! It begins each year with an event in conjunction with International Women’s Day (March 8) and continues each month on the day of the New Moon through October!

In circle, we join in a short heart meditation, then we have a time for personal sharing – feelings, questions, truths, stories, poems, and more. In this space we are free to celebrate our individuality as well as our collective strength, fearlessness, nurturing, healing and gifts. We end with a shared meal and informal conversations around the tables. Come as you are. It is free to participate; however, we do share a meal and if you want to eat, we ask a $5 donation for a meal. Join us! Please share these events with other women who may be interested. Thank you!

Kinstone has some amazing sacred spaces and we like to use them as much as possible. We may gather in the large Stone Circle, Three Witnesses circle, Star Gazer Circle, Circle of Mystery or other outdoor sacred place at Kinstone (weather permitting). If weather is uncooperative, we meet in our beautiful classroom space in the Education Center.
